Sony Announces New PlayStation Plus Subscription Service

Sony has announced a new PlayStation Plus subscription service that will replace the current PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now services. The new service will have three tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium.

The Essential tier will offer the same benefits as the current PlayStation Plus service, including online multiplayer, cloud saves, and access to a selection of free games.

The Extra tier will add access to a library of up to 400 downloadable games from the PS4 and PS5 generations.

The Premium tier will add access to a library of up to 300 classic games from the PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP generations, as well as cloud streaming for PS3 games.

The new PlayStation Plus subscription service will launch in June 2023.
